NORWALK, CT – April 23, 2014 – BookCon continues with its rollout of power-packed panels that promise to bring the fans to their feet. ReedPop , the world's largest producer of pop culture events and creators of BookCon, today announced that award-winning author John Green will take the stage for an insightful look at The Fault in Our Stars. Green will appear alongside the team behind the film adaptation, Elizabeth Gabler (President of Fox 2000 Pictures), Josh Boone (Director), Wyck Godfrey (Producer), Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber (screenwriters) on the panel moderated by Sara Vilkomerson, Senior Writer at Entertainment Weekly. Taking place on May 31, this panel will allow fans to hear from Green and the film's creators who are bringing this beautiful story to the big screen, and get a sneak peek at footage from the upcoming film which is set to hit theaters on June 6.

The panel will open a window into the creative efforts behind Fox's adaptation of Green's best-selling novel. Reinforcing BookCon's mission to provide an experience where books and pop-culture collide, this will give attendees more insight into the process of film adaptation.

"I'm so excited to be reunited at BookCon with the talented team that is bringing The Fault in Our Stars to the big screen," said author John Green. "BookCon is the place for fans of the written word to gather and celebrate their favorite stories, so it's a thrill to be part of this event."

"This is precisely the experience BookCon was designed to deliver as we're giving fans of the novel a chance to hear not only from the author, but those who worked tirelessly to put John's words onto the big screen" said Lance Fensterman, Global Senior Vice President of ReedPOP. "Fans will get the chance to hear from both the creative team of the film as well as Green about how close the story is to their hearts."

In November of 1999, Elizabeth Gabler became President of Fox 2000 Pictures. During her 15 years as President, the division has overseen a number of blockbuster hits including Unfaithful, Phone Booth, Walk the Line, The Devil Wears Prada, Man on Fire, Family Stone, Marley & Me, Water for Elephants, The Book Thief, The Monuments Men and the Academy Award-winning Life of Pi. Fox 2000 has also developed smash family films such as Alvin and the Chipmunks and the Percy Jackson and Wimpy Kid franchises. Garber initially joined Twentieth Century Fox in 1988 as a Senior Vice President, during which she worked on such films as Mrs. Doubtfire, Waiting to Exhale, A Walk in the Clouds, Hope Floats, Entrapment, and Castaway.

Wyck Godfrey began his career as a creative executive at New Line Cinema, where he worked on such hits as The Mask, Dumb and Dumber and various other favorites including House Party and the Nightmare on Elm Street series. Following stints at both Horizon Pictures and Davis Entertainment, Godfrey partnered with former United Talent Agency partner Marty Bowen, to create their own production company – Temple Hill Entertainment. The company's big break came in 2008 when they produced the first film in the Twilight Saga – they have subsequently produced the remaining movies in the trilogy. To date, Godfrey has produced 22 movies grossing over $5 billion worldwide.

Josh Boone made his feature film debut with Stuck in Love (2012), an autobiographical tale that covers a year in the life of a fractured family. Originally from Virginia Beach, VA, Boone would make home videos and obsess over classics in cinema. Following directing The Fault in Our Stars, the 35-year-old will adapt and direct the feature film version of Stephen King's The Stand.

Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, who have been collaborating since 1999, adapted Green's work into the screenplay. The duo wrote the smash comedy (500) Days of Summer and are currently working on several high-profile film projects, including adaptations of Me Before You, Where'd You Go Bernadette and Rules of Civility as well as Underage and Rosaline.
