BookCon Autographing Area Ticketing

This year, all signings that take place in the BookCon Autographing Area will be digitally ticketed before the Show. On Monday, May 22 at 12:00 PM EDT– Fans can visit the links below to reserve their spot at up to two signings per day in the BookCon Autographing Area. Tickets will be distributed to Fans on a first come, first serve basis – so the earlier you visit the page, the more likely you are to receive Tickets for the signings you want to go to. In order to complete the process, Fans will be required to submit their BookCon Badge number or BookCon order confirmation number. This step is required for participation, so if you haven't already, be sure to buy your BookCon Tickets now in order to participate in signings taking place in the BookCon Autographing Area. A valid Ticket to BookCon for the day of the signing is required for participation.

Tickets will be distributed to Fans on a first come, first serve basis – so the earlier you visit the page, the more likely you are to receive Tickets for the signings you want to go to. In order to complete the process, Fans will be required to submit their BookCon Badge number or BookCon order confirmation number. A valid Ticket to BookCon for the day of the signing is required for participation.

After Fans have selected the signings they want and finished the checkout process, they’ll receive a Ticket to their email with a unique barcode that can be scanned at the signing line once onsite. There is no cost for Tickets to the individual signing sessions but some signings may require a book purchase onsite for participation.

Note: This Ticketing policy is only for Autographing Sessions taking place in the BookCon Autographing Area at the back of the Show Floor. In-Booth Signings are different and each may have a different policy as these are managed by the Exhibitors directly.

BookCon Autographing Area Ticketing

We want to be clear about the BookCon Autographing Area Ticketing process so you know all the details and feel well informed in advance. Here's a quick breakdown to help you remember:

  1. On Monday, May 22 at 12:00 PM EDT – visit Page Coming Soon! to review all available autographing sessions and reserve your spot at up to two signings per day.
  2. Select the signings you want and finish the checkout process. You must have a valid BookCon BookCon Badge number or BookCon order confirmation number in order to complete the form. A valid Ticket to BookCon for the day of the signing is required for participation. As signings become unavailable – they will be clearly marked as "sold out" indicating that all Tickets have been distributed. There will be no standby lines for sold out Autographing sessions.
  3. After check out, you'll be emailed a ticket with a unique barcode that can be scanned at the signing line once onsite at BookCon. This Ticket is where you’ll find out the location and guidelines for each specific signing. Tickets can either be printed or saved on your phone.
  4. Once at BookCon, you should arrive to the Autographing Area at the back of the Show Floor no earlier than 15 minutes prior to the start time of the signing. You MUST have a corresponding Ticket for that specific signing in order to enter the line. Tickets can either be printed or saved to your phone. Lost or deleted Tickets will not be replaced. There are no exceptions to this rule.
  5. Head into the line for the Author you want to meet (this is where you can also buy their book if a book purchase is required for this signing!).
  6. Meet your favorite Author, get your book signed and have fun!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHEN WILL TICKETS BE AVAILABLE?

We will begin distributing tickets on Monday, May 22 at 12:00 PM EDT here: Page Coming Soon. Tickets will continue to be given out until all have been distributed. In the event that any Tickets are available on the day of the Show, we'll have a separate desk at Registration where Fans can go to pick up tickets for autographing.

WHAT IF I WANT TO MEET MORE THAN TWO AUTHORS EACH DAY?

Due to limited availability, you will have to choose who you want to meet the absolute most. Keep in mind that since Tickets are distributed first-come, first-serve, it’s possible that they may run out before you receive all the ones you want. Once all Tickets have been given out, that Autographing Session has reached maximum capacity and no more Tickets will be available.

As signings become unavailable – they will be clearly marked as "sold out" indicating that all tickets have been distributed.

IS BOOK PURCHASE REQUIRED TO GET A TICKET?

Some of the Autographing Sessions in the BookCon Autographing Area will require a book purchase as well as receiving a ticket. If the session requires a book purchase, it will be listed in the description of the Autographing Session. For your convenience, all book purchases for these Autographing Sessions will be made at that Autographing Table in the BookCon Autographing Area. So once you arrive to meet that Author you can purchase the book in the same line that you’re waiting in to meet them – super easy!

CAN I BRING A BOOK FROM HOME TO BE SIGNED?

Each Autographing Sessions in the BookCon Autographing Area has different requirements and specifications. If you can bring a book from home, this information will be listed in the description of the Autographing Session.

CAN I BRING MY FRIENDS IN THE SIGNING LINE?

Only those with tickets for the specific autographing session will be allowed in the signing line. For Fans under 18, one parent or guardian is allowed to accompany their child in the signing line.

DO I NEED A TICKET TO BOOKCON IN ORDER TO GET A TICKET FOR AUTOGRAPHING?

Yes! In order to complete the Ticketing process, Fans will be required to submit their BookCon Badge number or BookCon order confirmation number. This step is required for participation, so be sure to buy your BookCon Tickets now in order to participate in signings taking place in the BookCon Autographing Area. A valid Ticket to BookCon for the day of the signing is required for participation.

WHAT IF AN AUTHOR'S SIGNING ISN’T SOLD OUT ON THE DAY OF THE SHOW – CAN I STILL MEET THEM?

Yes, if Tickets are still available we will have a desk setup at Registration where Fans can go to pick up Tickets for that day’s available signings.

IS THERE A STANDBY LINE FOR SOLD OUT SIGNINGS?

No. Due to limited space in the Autographing Area, we will not have a standby line for Author signings.
